If you are a year round swimmer training with a winter team, but would like to race in BCSSA swim meets, please inquire about O-cat competition only opportunities.

Spring Registration

Spring Registration - Feb 12th

We are happy to offer Little Flippers, Speed Swimming Maintenance, and Masters programs during the Spring season at the Walnut Grove Community Centre. Winter Maintenance will begin March 1st and end April 26th, with no class on Easter Sunday April 5th. 

Registration will open to current/returning members on February 8th at 8:00pm. New member registration will open on February 12th at 8:00pm.

 

LITTLE FLIPPERS:

For swimmers ages 5–10 who are wanting to learn the basics of competitive swimming. Participants must be able to swim 15 meters independentlyCompletion of Swimmer 3 (or equivalent) is recommended.

  • When: Sunday mornings, March 1 – April 26, no class on Easter Sunday April 5
    Offered in three time slots: 8:00–8:30 am, 8:30–9:00 am, or 9:00–9:30 am
  • Where: Walnut Grove Community Centre
  • Fee: $175

SPEED SWIMMING MAINTENANCE PROGRAM:

For swimmers ages 6–17 who can swim 50m continuously and unassisted in freestyle and backstroke, and who are looking to improve their technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes. Completion of Swimmer 5 (or equivalent) is recommended.

  • When: March 1 – April 26
    Tuesday evenings: 5:15–6:15 pm or 6:00–7:00 pm (includes 15 minutes dryland & 45 minutes pool time)
    Sunday mornings: 8:00–9:00 am or 9:00–10:00 am
  • Where: Walnut Grove Community Centre
  • Fee: $185 for 1 day/week or $310 for 2 days/week 

MASTERS PROGRAM:

For swimmers 18+ who can swim 50m comfortably in freestyle and backstroke. Familiarity with all competitive strokes is ideal.

  • When: March 3 – April 21
    Tuesday evenings: 7:00–8:00 pm
  • Where: Walnut Grove Community Centre
  • Fee: $185
