Fall/Winter Maintenance: 2026/2027

The Langley Flippers is a summer swim club. Our primary season runs from May through August, when we train and compete at Al Anderson Memorial Pool.

For swimmers who would like to continue training throughout the year, we also offer an off-season maintenance program from September to April. Practices are held at Walnut Grove Community Centre

Little Flippers

For swimmers ages 5–10 who are interested in learning the fundamentals of competitive swimming. Swimmers must be able to swim 15 metres independently. Completion of Swimmer 3 (or equivalent) is recommended.

Little Flippers practices are generally held once per week on Sunday mornings.

Speed Swimming Maintenance Program

For swimmers ages 6–17 who can swim 50 metres continuously and unassisted in both freestyle and backstroke, and who are looking to improve their technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes. Completion of Swimmer 5 (or equivalent) is recommended.

For the Speed Swimming Maintenance Program, families typically have the option of registering for either:

  • Two practices per week: Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings
  • One practice per week: Sunday mornings only
The fall maintenance will open first week of September, first to returning members, then to new members.
